A device which should greatly reduce the uncertainly and stress tourists find in driving in Costa Rica is now available for daily rentals in offices near the San Jose international airport in Alajuela. The company, SmartWays, has a website at www.rsgps.net. Already offering GPS rentals in other countries, they have now mapped many locations in Costa Rica. A special service consists of preprograming the GPS units to conform with itineraries submitted by renters before arrival in the country.

The SmartWays office is located a few minutes from the airport close to the Hampton Inn and several rental car companies. Reservations may be made through the website.
